Kroger launches mobile payment system

Shoppers at Kroger will soon have a new mobile way to pay for their groceries.

The nation's largest supermarket chain has just launched "Kroger Pay."

It's available in the Kroger app and combines both payment and loyalty card information to reduce time in the checkout line. The app also stores and transmits digital coupons and personalized offers in a single swipe.

"Kroger Pay" was first introduced in Columbus, Ohio and will start in ten other markets before rolling out nationwide later this year.
