Man seriously injured after moped crash in Hillsdale County

HILLSDALE COUNTY, Mich. (WILX) - A 38-year-old man had to be transported by Mercy Health Life Flight to a hospital in Toledo after a moped versus car crash in Hillsdale County Thursday night.

It happened shortly before 9:00 p.m. near the intersection of W Camden Rd and Bishop Rd in Camden Township.

The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office said an initial investigation showed the 38-year-old man from Angola, Indiana was traveling eastbound on Camden Rd on a moped when he crossed the centerline and struck a car heading westbound.

Authorities say first responders performed life saving measures on the man before he was airlifted to St Vincent Hospital in Toledo, Ohio for treatment. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation by the Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office.
