LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - A Lansing man has been convicted of killing a woman more than four years ago.

Gregory Sanders was found guilty Wednesday of killing 28-year-old Dominique Hawn.

Back in January of 2022 police said Sanders barricaded himself inside a home on Pleasant Grove Road following reports of gunfire. He remained inside the home for several hours until surrendering to police.

Investigators then found Hawn dead in the basement.

The Ingham County Prosecutor’s Office on Wednesday told News 10 Sanders was convicted of first-degree murder and “multiple additional felonies,” though exact charges were not disclosed.

Sanders was originally arraigned on nearly 20 charges in 54-A District Court, including eight counts of assault with the intent to murder, one count of firearm possession by a felon, one count of firearm discharge in a building, habitual offender third offense and seven counts of felony firearm.

A sentencing hearing for Sanders is scheduled for May 27.
