The number of car-deer crashes in Ingham County rose last year, despite an overall decrease in crashes across the state.
A report released today shows just under 1,100 drivers reported hitting a deer in Ingham County in 2016.
That's a small increase from 2015.
Jackson County saw more than 1,200 crashes, with just under a thousand reported in Eaton County.
More than 46,000 crashes were reported statewide last year, which is about 200 less than in 2015.
