INGHAM COUNTY, Mich. (WILX) -- Former Michigan State University football player, Auston Roberston, was in court on Wednesday.
He was charged with 2 counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct and has been in the Ingham County jail since last month.
Wednesday, he pleaded guilty to assault with intent to penetrate and could get over three years in prison. His sentencing is scheduled for December 4, 2018.
Robertson is accused of raping a woman in Meridian Township in April 2017.
He will also be registered as a sex offender.
Robertson was previously in Kansas where he was arrested last spring on armed robbery and drug charges.
He played for MSU in 2016.
