Family left without a home after early morning house fire in DeWitt Township
DEWITT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WILX) - A family was left without a home early Thursday after a house fire in DeWitt Township.
Multiple first responders were on the scene. The DeWitt Township Fire Department said that at around 4:13 a.m. on Oct. 17, neighbors on the corner of Robinwood and Donamere Drive called about a fire.
Officials said the fire started on the house’s back deck, where a grill was left on overnight.
Flames traveled into the attic while three family members made their way out.
Officials said no one was injured, but the family can not move back in for another four months.
