Livingston County man arrested for alleged child sexual abusive activity
LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Mich. (WILX) - A man from Gregory in Livingston County has been arrested for alleged aggravated child sexual abusive material possession and aggravated child sexual abusive material distribution.
The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force announced the arrest of 24-year-old Gregory resident Dillon Foss on Friday, Sept. 20, following an investigation that started when a cyber tip was received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
MSP said Foss was charged with three counts of aggravated child sexual abusive activity, three charges of aggravated child sexual abuse material possession, and three charges of use of a computer to commit a crime punishable by 10-20 years.
Foss was arraigned on Sept. 15.
If convicted, Foss faces up to 15 years in prison for aggravated child sexual abusive activity (distributing or promoting), up to 10 years in prison for aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, and up to 10 years in prison for using a computer to commit a crime.
State police encourage parents to speak to their children about using the Internet and to use available resources to keep people safe.
