Multiple hospitalized after UTV crashes into a tree in Bath Township

BATH TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WILX) - Multiple people were injured Wednesday night when a side-by-side UTV crashed into a tree in Bath Township.

On June 26, just after 8 p.m., Bath Township police said they were called out to a crash on a private property in the 5100 block of Clark Road. Police said the driver reportedly hit a tree on the private property, going at a speed of approximately 35 mph.

When police arrived, they applied tourniquets to the leg of the driver of the UTV while Bath Township Fire crews treated the four other victims of the crash.

Police said everyone involved was taken to the hospital.

The driver was identified as a 52-year-old man. Police said the other people on the UTV ranged from 52 to 2-years-old. Bath Township police told News 10 they are unsure of the conditions of the four other victims.
