The West Virginia Division of Highways will be closing the Pond Creek Bridge on Rt. 68 to complete a bridge replacement project.
The Penn Kingsmen softball team won its 12th consecutive sectional championship on Saturday with a 12-0 victory over LaPorte in five innings. The state-record streak continued as Penn dominated from the start. Caitlyn Denny pitched one-hit ball with six strikeouts against the Slicers while Easton Masten finished with two hits and three RBIs.
