Here’s how Metro Detroit native Jamie Ding ranks among best ‘Jeopardy!’ players of all time

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - This 2009 Grosse Pointe North High School graduate made Jeopardy! History.

Who is Jamie Ding?

Correct.

The Metro Detroit native won 31 consecutive games on the longstanding game show, writing his name into the history books, before his run came to an end on Monday’s episode.

Ding, now a Lawrenceville, New Jersey, resident, entered Monday’s Final Jeopardy round out of reach of first place, but added a second-place $3,000 to his total.

He finished his multi-week run with a total of $885,605.

Here’s where he ranks all-time among the Jeopardy! greats, according to the “Leaderboard of Legends” on the show’s website.

Ding is identified on the Jeopardy! website as a bureaucrat and law student who now lives in Lawrenceville, NJ. He entered Monday’s episode having answered 976 questions correctly and just 72 incorrectly during his streak, according to TheJeopardyFan.com.
