Storm damage reported across Mid-Michigan after severe weather - Here’s how to report your damage

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Severe storms swept across mid-Michigan and other parts of the state last week, causing damage and disrupting school schedules.

The Michigan State Police Emergency Management and Homeland Security Division is urging residents with storm damage to submit a damage report.

Viewers submitted photos and videos to News 10 showing the extent of the storm’s impact.

The storms also led to school closures and delays. Fulton Schools, East Jackson schools and Carson City-Crystal Area Schools are closed Wednesday. Click here for list of closures.

Other parts of the state also saw storm damage Tuesday night, including in Washtenaw County. The Ann Arbor Police Department on Wednesday morning shared photos of damage across the city, including a downed pole and wire near an I-94 overpass and a downed tree and crosswalk sign.

Officials said Ann Arbor police, fire and public works crews responded to more than 120 calls for service between 1:45 a.m. and 6 a.m., most of which were for storm damage.
