Longtime Meridian Twp public servant passes away
Officials planning Celebration of Life event
MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WILX) - A longtime Meridian Township official has passed away, local officials announced on Wednesday.
Dr. Patricia Herring Jackson served as Meridian Township Planning Commissioner, Township Trustee and Township Supervisor. Officials say she died on Dec. 8, 2025.

Dr. Jackson served the township for 25 years up until April 2024.
Local officials are planning to hold a Celebration of Life for Dr. Jackson at the Meridian Township hall on Jan. 26.
“Pat was a dedicated public servant, a loyal Spartan, and an incredible leader,” said Branch County Administrator Frank Walsh.
The celebration of life will last from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at 5151 Marsh Road.
