Mason man killed in semi-truck crash on M-52

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - A man was killed Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash on M-52 (Stockbridge Road), according to the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office.

Ingham County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area of Howell Rd. and M-52 in White Oak Township for the crash around 7:40 a.m.

A vehicle driven by a 53-year-old Mason man was traveling east on Howell Rd. He failed to stop at the stop sign and collided with a semi-truck traveling south on M-52.

The Mason man was pinned under the semi-trailer and died at the scene from his injuries.

The man has now been identified as 53-year-old Jeffrey Wendt.

The semi-truck driver, a 23-year-old man from Perry, was not injured.

There were no passengers in either vehicle.

The intersection is now reopened.
