City of East Lansing meetings going virtual

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX)- Many of the City of East Lansing’s meetings are regularly scheduled and in-person. Due to COVID-19 and the Executive Order 2020-154 issued by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, the meetings will be converted to electronic meetings during the month of July.

There are seven special meetings scheduled to take place electronically next week:

East Lansing Downtown Development Authority Executive and Finance Committee

Monday, July 20 at 11:30 a.m.

East Lansing Downtown Development Authority Project and Infrastructure Committee

Monday, July 20 at 12 p.m.

East Lansing Commission on the Environment

Monday, July 20 at 5:30 p.m.

East Lansing City Council

Monday, July 20 at 7 p.m.

The East Lansing City Council will be meeting for the purposes of discussing the appointment of a mayor pro tem. They will be setting a public hearing for a special use permit for 605 M.A.C. Ave. and discussing the city attorney request for proposals and discussing the process for new City Councilmember appointments.

East Lansing Board of Review

Tuesday, July 21 at 4 p.m.

The Board of Review meeting will be held for the purposes of correcting clerical errors, granting principal residence exemptions, considering poverty exemption applications and more.

East Lansing Planning Commission

Wednesday, July 22 at 7 p.m.

East Lansing Downtown Development Authority

Thursday, July 23 at 12 p.m.

These meetings will be held electronically in adherence to Executive Order 2020-154 issued by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.
