Lt. Governor's Brother Suspect in Hit and Run

Ionia (WILX) The brother of Michigan's Lieutenant Governor is a suspect in a hit and run investigation.

Lt. Governor Brian Calley's office confirmed that his younger brother, John Calley, is a suspect in an Ionia County hit and run. However, a spokesman for the Lt. Governor would say only it is a personal and police matter.

Police say a 24-year-old woman was dragged and run over by a car she was attempting to get into to Wednesday shortly after 5 p.m. It happened at a Pilot Gas Station at 7205 S. State Road in Orange Township.

The suspect car fled the scene

The Sheriff's office released surveillance pictures of the suspect inside the gas station and the car in the service area.

Callers identified the suspect as John Calley. He is being questioned.
No charges have been filed.

The victim was taken to a hospital. Her injuries are not considered life-threatening.
