A school resource officer in South Carolina is caught on tape violently flipping and dragging a female student.
The incident happened Monday afternoon, and the cell phone video quickly went viral, angering parents everywhere.
The officer was attempting to arrest a girl at Spring Valley High School after she caused a disturbance.
When the girl refuses to leave, he can be seen grabbing the girl, flipping her desk, and then dragging her to the front of the classroom.
A spokesman for the Richland County Sheriff's Office says the sheriff is out of town, but that he has seen the video of the incident.
Administrators at Spring Valley High School in Columbia say that the officer, Ben Fields, has been relieved of his duties at the school while the investigation continues.
