EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Sixth-ranked Michigan has won six straight and is in the top 10 for the first time this season. The Wolverines need to beat rival Michigan State to keep the roll going.

The Spartans have won two of three against Jim Harbaugh-coached Michigan teams and eight of 10 overall in the series.

In East Lansing, this season has had its ups and downs for Michigan State quarterback Brian Lewerke, but all of that may be forgotten if he can guide the 24th-ranked Spartans to a victory over sixth-ranked Michigan.

The result this weekend could go a long way toward determining how this season is remembered for Lewerke.

He'll be up against a Michigan team with the nation's No. 1 pass defense.
