The Detroit Tigers rallied from a 3-0 deficit Thursday to down the Royals 6-4 in Kansas City. The Tigers salvaged the final game between the teams this season and improved to 41-97 with 24 games remaining. The Tigers move on to Oakland for a week end series. Jordy Mercy hit a solo homer and Will Castro had a bloop two run single to put the game out of reach. Joe Jimenez struck out Jorge Soler with two men on in the ninth inning to end the game.
