The Detroit Tigers are idle Monday-- they begin a three game home series Tuesday night against the American League East leading New York Yankees, the only time the teams meet in Detroit this season. The Tigers' 42-100 record is the worst in the major leagues. Baltimore has 97 losses and the Orioles visit Detroit for four games beginning Friday. The Tigers have 13 of their final 20 games at home. They went 2-5 on their road trip this last week to Kansas City and Oakland.
