Spartans Add Jagger Joshua to 2019-20 Incoming Class

EAST LANSING – Michigan State hockey head coach Danton Cole announced today (May 14) that the Spartans have signed Jagger Joshua to a National Letter of Intent. Joshua will join previously signed recruits Nicolas Müller (Arisdorf, Switzerland/Modo Hockey) and Josh Nodler (Oak Park, Mich./Fargo Force) on the Spartan roster for the 2019-20 season.

Danton Cole on Jagger Joshua: “Jagger is a big, physical player that will contribute greatly to the way we want to play and help us in the battles of the Big Ten. He has tremendous upside that we look forward to working with here at Spartan Hockey.”

Has played the last two seasons for the Muskegon Lumberjacks in the USHL … Had 27 points, including 10 goals and 17 assists, in 53 regular season games for Muskegon this past season … His four game-winning goals were second most on the team … Also had four power-play goals, which tied for fourth on the team … Tied for the team lead in goals in the playoffs with four in eight games … Ranked third in the league with 147 penalty minutes in 2018-19 … Appeared in 28 games for Muskegon in his first full season in the USHL in 2017-18, recording five points … Played his first nine games of 2017-18 with the Youngstown Phantoms … Put up 41 points (17g, 24a) in 31 games for Victory Honda U-18 in 2016-17 before making his USHL debut with Youngstown … Also played youth hockey for Honeybaked and Compuware.
