Spartan fans left for Minneapolis Friday morning

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) -- Spartan Sports Tours offered Spartan fans, with tickets already purchased to the Final Four game, a bus ride and hotel package deal.

Fans looking for a cheaper option compared to some of the flights going to Minneapolis, jumped on the opportunity to take the 10-hour bus ride.

They dressed up in the best green and white gear they had and shuffled onto the bus with snacks and pillows all ready for the ride.

The bus left around 8 a.m. Friday morning in hopes of getting there in time for a pep rally 6 o'clock Friday night.

The group that left with Spartan Sports Tours is made up of some "super fans" and past MSU alum.

Greg Pell a Spartan Super Fan said, "Once a Spartan always a Spartan. Spartans family. There's nothing better in America and all of us know it. People say 'isn't it great? Isn't it fun? Um yeah, only if we win. It's serious. It's important. It's the Final Four. It's a chance for a national championship."

According to "HotelTongiht," Michigan State fans have been searching 30% more for hotels in Minneapolis than Virginia in third place, but still below Texas Tech, which leads all the teams.
