Public visitation Friday for Ted Lindsay

DETROIT (WILX) -- Hockey fans will have their final chance to say farewell to Red Wings legend Ted Lindsay on Friday.

A public visitation will be held from 9:07 am-7:07 pm at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.

Lindsay died Monday at the age of 93.

He played in the NHL for 17 years, 14 years with the Detroit Red Wings.

Lindsay and teammate Gordie Howe led Detroit to four Stanley Cups in the 1950s.

A Funeral Mass for family and close friends will be held for Lindsay Saturday at 10 am at St. Andrew Catholic Church at 1400 Inglewood Ave. in Rochester.

Visitation at the church begins at 9 am.
