NCAA Women's Regional Delayed Nearly 7 Hours

Inclement weather caused a 6 1/2 hour delay Tuesday in the NCAA women's regional golf championship being played at Michigan State's Forest Akers West Course. Round two began shortly after 2:30pm with a shotgun start and groups going off in foursomes hoping to finish 18 holes by the end of the day. The final round is scheduled for Wednesday beginning at 8am with the top six teams in the 18-team field advancing to the NCAA finals May 22-27 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Michigan State began round two tied for fourth place, 11 shots behind first round leader Kent State.
