Michigan's softball season came to an end Monday in a doubleheader home loss to James Madison in the pre Regional phase of the NCAA tournament. Michigan beat James Madison Saturday 1-0 in 12 innings in the double elimination tournament. Sunday's play was rained out and James Madison won Monday 3-0 forcing a second game which the Dukes won 2-1. Michigan entered the day with a 16-game winning streak and won the Big Ten regular season and tournament title. James Madison opens Super Regional play Thursday at UCLA in a best of three series.
