MSU F Kithier breaks nose, will play in season opener

EAST LANSING, MI. (WILX) -- Michigan State Basketball has confirmed that freshman forward Thomas Kithier broke his nose in practice on Wednesday.

Sports Information Director Michael Carey told News 10 the break was "minor," and that he took an inadvertent elbow to the face.

Kithier will be ready to play in MSU's season opener against No. 2 Kentucky on Tuesday, Nov. 5 as part of the Champions Classic, the university said.
