Beginning next spring, the MHSAA will have a new pitch count rule for High School pitchers that will follow national guidelines established by the NFHS Baseball Rules Committee.

Pitchers will be allowed to throw a maximum of 105 pitches in one day and be required to rest three days if they throw more than 75 pitches. This rule will only by used for baseball not softball.
