Lions make a flurry of moves in NFL free agency.

LANSING, Mi It has been a busy Monday for the Detroit Lions as NFL free agency opens. The Lions have signed WR Danny Amendola to a contract although the exact terms of the contract were not announced. Multiple sources have reported that the Lions intend to sign two key defensive pieces on Monday as well. Defensive end Trey Flowers, most recently with the New England Patriots is expected to sign a 5-year deal with Detroit. Also, nickel cornerback Justin Coleman, most recently with the Seattle Seahawks will reportedly sign a 4-year deal worth $36M. That is according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport.

The Lions entered free agency with just over $40M to spend.
