Lions Make Several Moves

One day after firing the team's special teams coach, the Detroit Lions made two roster moves on Tuesday. They cut veteran running back Ameer Abdullah, a second round draft pick out of Nebraska in 2015. The Lions also signed free agent receiver Bruce Ellington. The Lions last week traded receiver Golden Tate to the Philadelphia Eagles. The Lions have a 3-5 record and begin the second half of their season Sunday at Chicago against the Bears. Kick off is set for 1pm.
