In My View 8/21/2019: Major League Baseball

(WILX) -- New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone is suggesting major league baseball needs a mercy rule. I'm not sure he's not on to something.

They have it in the high schools and in college softball.

Meaningless run away games don't need to play out, I can see solid reasons for that.

Like play seven innings and if it's a ten run game, then it ends.

The games are long enough as it is.

I don't know if it will ever happen at the major league level but it would sure save at least some wear and tear on players.
