In My View 4/3/2019: Detroit Tigers

(WILX) -- The Tigers have struggled because they have little pitching but remember the days when their starters were named Scherzer, Verlander, Porcello, Price and even Doug Fister.

No surprise they contended for the World Series. They could identify and develop good pitchers-- but baseball's salary structure prevents teams like them from keeping them over a period of time.

In my view that's too bad. The Tigers developed pitchers to beat them in the long run.
