GRAND LEDGE, MI (WILX) -- The Grand Ledge Comets hosted the Hudsonville Eagles on Thursday.

The Comets were hoping to bounce back from a 3-5 season.

Second quarter. Junior running back Trevor Mceachern takes the hand-off bounces it outside and is gonna truck his way into the end-zone. Dansville up by 6.

Next possession--its more of the same but this time through the air. Brennan Hayes fires a bullet to sophomore Dylan Ham and Ham does the rest. Sick juke! Taking ankles with him for the score. Dansville up 17.

But here comes grand ledge. Junior quarterback Logan Todd running the option decides to keep it and there he goes. Todd trying to turn on the afterburners but he wont make it into the end-zone. Downed at the one but grand ledge would capitalize. Two plays later Todd finds senior Carter Selby in the end-zone. Grand ledge cuts the lead to seven and that's where the game would end tonight due to the weather.

This one went into a weather delay right as the second half was about to begin. Hudsonville led 27 to 13.

The game will resume Friday at noon.
