The third round of the 2019 NFL Draft featured a lot of Michigan flavor as former Michigan State Cornerback Justin Layne was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers with the 83rd overall pick. Layne will now be teammates with former Michigan Linebacker Devin Bush, who was selected by the Steelers in the first round.
Two Wolverines also went in the 3rd round. Chase Winovich was taken 77th overall by the New England Patriots. David Long was taken by the Los Angeles Rams two picks later at number 79.
The Lions took Boston College DB Will Harris in the third round with the 81st pick after trading up with Minnesota.
