NBC News (NBC) - It appears Condoleezza Rice will not be making NFL history.
ESPN reported that the former Secretary of State was being considered to replace fired Cleveland Browns coach Hue Jackson.
She would be the first woman ever interviewed to be an NFL team's head coach.
But Browns General Manager John Dorsey says she has not been discussed for the open position.
He said they're still working on compiling a list of potential candidates, but called rice "A great leader," nonetheless.
Rice also downplayed the report herself... saying that she is "not ready" to coach.
She also said she would love to see more women coaches in the NFL.
