For the first time in the 71 year history of the Associated Press college basketball poll, both Michigan and Michigan State are ranked in the top six. Michigan, 15-0, is still ranked seconde in this week's rankings released Monday while Michigan State has moved from #8 to #6. MSU has a 13-2 season record. MSU hosts Purdue at 9pm Tuesday while Michigan hopes to equal its best start in school history with a win at Illinois Thursday night. Michigan States's women fell from #15 to #23 after road losses at Northwestern and Indiana. The MSU women have an 11-3 r4ecord, 1-2 in the Big Ten and host Minnesota Wednesday night.
