An incredible moment Friday when a special child got to meet his hero.
That child is 12-year-old Giovanni Hamilton, and he is a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan... in particular he idolizes quarterback Carson Wentz...
At training camp Friday, Wentz signed Giovanni's jersey..
Giovanni looked up and said "you're my hero."
Wentz then bent down to give him a hug.
Giovanni feels a connection to Wentz, because they have both overcome health challenges.
Wentz has had season-ending injuries the past two years, but he keeps coming back.
And that's what inspires Giovanni, he has a very rare disease, and has had 12 surgeries, including a recent procedure to break and lengthen his jaw.
What gets giovanni through the tough times? Carson wentz.
Giovanni has 'Schwartz Jampel Syndrome'.. a disease that only affects 100 people in the world, and the exact type that Giovanni has, has never been documented.
The syndrome is characterized by abnormalities of skeletal muscle, bone and cartilage.
