ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) -- Washington Capitals goaltender Braden Holtby said Friday he will not join his teammates next week for a White House celebration of their Stanley Cup championship.
Holtby is the second player on the Capitals' active roster to decline, joining fellow Canadian Brett Connolly.
Meanwhile, Capitals coach Todd Reirden says Michal Kempny is out indefinitely with a lower-body injury. Kempny appeared to injure his left leg in an overtime loss to Tampa Bay on Wednesday.
