EAST LANSING, MI (WILX) -- The Big Ten Conference Basketball Media Days were happening in Chicago Wednesday--and this year everyone's talking about Michigan State's team.
Earlier Wednesday, Spartan point guard Cassius Winston was unanimously picked for pre-season Big Ten Player of the Year.
Like Tom Izzo said Wednesday in Chicago, it's getting earlier and earlier for basketball season.
It used to be that Midnight Madness began practices on Oct. 15, however Michigan State and other teams have been practicing most of September.
Izzo is about to begin his 25th season as head coach with high expectations.
"I like my team but we have some question marks-- what about Langford, what do we do at the four, those kinds of things. And how do we replace 30 points and 15 rebounds, how do we get there?" Izzo said.
The Spartans have sold out the Izzone student section for the coming season which begins with an exhibition home game against Albion College on Oct. 29.
MSU scheduled Albion because Cassius Winston's little brother is a member of the Albion team.
