ATLANTA, Georgia (WILX) -- Super Bowl weekend is in full swing right now in Atlanta...

Hundreds of thousands of fans have been pouring into the city ahead of the big game.

"Having the Super Bowl is as big as it gets, and we're thrilled to have it here in Mercedes Benz stadium, what I think is the best stadium around," said Scott Jenkins, general manager of Mercedes Benz Stadium.

The Los Angeles Rams say they are ready.

"This is what you dream about to be on this stage and a couple of days away. (We're) so ready to play some football," said star defensive tackle Aaron Donald.

For tens of thousands of fans, pre-game preps mean gearing up as they race into the weekend, fun and games before the game as thousands of officers from more than 50 agencies keep watch over the festivities.

"I feel good that it's going to be a safe event," said Capt. Rodney Woody of the Contingency Operations Division. "Everyone should come down and have a great time."

They're keeping things safe so the focus can stay on football and fun.

Super Bowl 53 kicks off at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
