ST. JOHNS, MI. (WILX) -- The Redwings put up big numbers on homecoming night with a 48-20 victory over the Haslett Vikings.

The St. Johns offense opened up in the first half with 33 points but continued to pour it on all throughout the second.

With 5:38 to go in the third quarter, Jaymn Medlock scampered his way through Vikings tacklers and took it 20 yards to the house to hit the 40 point mark for the Redwings.

Haslett would step up and counter the momentum when Xander Thelen displayed some pocket awareness, stepped up and lofted a deep shot to an uncovered Jacob Boss for six.

The Vikings could not gain traction to stay in it and the Redwings marched on victorious. They move to 4-2 and play Fowlerville next week.

Haslett looks to rebound and notch a second win on the season against Lansing Eastern.
