You may be able to get a tax break for sending your child to a summer day camp.

Under the government's Child and Dependent Care Credit, working parents can save around $1,000 per child, up to two or more children, depending on their income.

There are some conditions. For example, overnight camps do not qualify, you must be working or actively seeking employment, children have to be younger than 13 and if there is a stay-at-home spouse, the credit won't kick in.
