Why teens should be screened for heart disease

Most adolescents are not routinely screened for cardiovascular disease, but they should be.
That's according to researchers from Cincinnati Children's Hospital who assessed 45 middle school students.
They were surprised to find that more than a third had high cholesterol, or abnormal levels of blood sugar.
In fact, two students screened positive for diabetes despite having no symptoms.
