UPDATE: Andrew Lai appeared on Jeopardy May 22 but lost it all on Final Jeopardy.
PREVIOUS STORY:
A local man will be in the hot seat Tuesday when Jeopardy airs on NBC.
Andrew Lai, a former medical student at Michigan State, is a contestant on the show.
He talked with News 10 on Tuesday morning about his experience. He said the whole process was incredible and that it's a lot harder to do in person than yelling out answers at the TV screen from home.
He said practicing with a push pen was also helpful because hitting the Jeopardy buzzer to chime in was so important, and may have been the hardest part of being on the show.
Lai also said that he plays trivia each week at Crunchy's with friends and that was where he was when he found out he was picked.
Lai couldn't tell us what he won, if he won, or even the final Jeopardy question - but he did say that was the toughest question asked. However, he says he missed a real easy one that was even about Michigan.
Watch the entire interview on the WILX Facebook page with the link provided.
And be sure to watch Jeopardy to cheer on Lai and see how he did.
His appearance on Jeopardy airs on WILX at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 22.
