A group of concerned citizens traveled to downtown Lansing Thursday to talk about their issues with a Traverse City area lawmaker.

The group "Voters Not Politicians" gathered at the Anderson House office building around 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

Their mission is to get state representative Larry Inman to resign from his position.

Representative Inman was recently charged with extortion, soliciting bribes and making a false statement to the FBI in an apparent cash for votes scheme.

"Even if he's not found guilty of all the charges, he still did something that wasn't appropriate," Kathy Tuckerman, Voters not Politicians volunteer and Inman constituent, said. "We deserve to have someone that is representing our country."

A resolution was introduced last month urging representative Inman to resign.

So far he has refused calls to step down.

We will let you know if anything changes.
