NBC, (WILX) - A vigil was held Friday night to mark the 20th anniversary of the deadly shootings at Columbine High School.
Dozens gathered in Clement Park in Littleton, Colorado.
There were no speeches or public announcements.
Instead, a few moments of peace and quiet for people to reflect and remember those who died on April 20th, 1999.
That was the day 17-year-old Dylan Klebold and 18-year-old Eric Harris opened fire on the campus.
12 students and a teacher were killed and another 20 were injured.
Several events are planned for Saturday to mark the anniversary, including a religious service, a day of community service projects, and a memorial ceremony.
