Van carrying more than 100 dogs crashes, pups okay

Several New York state police officers received some puppy love after a van carrying more than 100 dogs crashed earlier this week.

Police say the van was traveling at an unsafe speed when the driver lost control and overturned in a ditch on interstate 86 near Avoca on Tuesday.

They say five puppies suffered minor injuries and were treated by the local SPCA.

The rest of the puppies were eventually transported by officers, but not before they struck a puppy-eyed pose for some close-ups.

Police say the van was en route to deliver the puppies to local malls and pet stores for adoption.

No word if the driver will be ticketed.
