CADILLAC, MI (WILX) -- The Huron-Manistee National Forest and its community partners held a press conference Wednesday to discuss an action plan to improve safety and etiquette on three Michigan rivers this summer.
The community-driven action plan serves as an alternative to the alcohol ban that the Huron-Manistee National Forests proposed for the congressionally-protected "wild and scenic" sections of the AuSable, Manistee and Pine Rivers.
The alcohol ban will not be put into place this year.
The press conference was held Wednesday at 1 p.m.
