New information on suspects in Old Town murder

LANSING, MI (WILX) - Two men were in court for a preliminary exam on Thursday where they waived their right to the prelim.

The preliminary was to determine if there was enough evidence to go to trial in the case of the shooting of Reginald Craig on June 28.

Leonardo Gomes Rosales, 62, from Lansing, was charged with the following:
Count 1: Open Murder
Count 2: Carrying Concealed Weapon
Count 3: Weapons - Firearm in possession of Felon
Count 4: Weapons - Felony Firearm
Habitual 3rd
BOND: Denied / Remanded / No bond

According to court documents obtained by NEWS 10, police say Rosales shot Craig after both men had a confrontation inside the Unicorn Lounge, an establishment in the area.

Hilario Rene Rivera, 32, from Lansing, was charged with:
Count 1: Accessory after the fact to a Felony
Habitual 3rd
BOND: $100,000.00 Cash/Surety

The documents say that Rivera was the getaway driver during the shooting.

Rivera had his bond reduced on Thursday to $20,000 cash or surety. He will have to wear a tether.

When the time came for Rosales to be heard, he waived his right to the prelim and both cases now move to circuit court.

Craig leaves behind his 10-year-old daughter.
