Two democrats win vacant seats on MSU's Board of Trustees

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) The Larry Nassar scandal has directed an unusual amount of attention to the MSU Board of Trustees race.

Democrats Brianna Scott and Kelly Tebay edged out Republican candidates to win the two vacant seats on the board left by Republicans Mitch Lyons and Brian Breslin.

Both women are MSU graduates.

Scott runs a law firm in Muskegon, and Tebay works for the United Way of Southeastern Michigan.
