LANSING, MI (WILX) - Lansing Community College celebrated 103 graduating classes from the institution's police academy.
The LCC Mid-Michigan Police Academy held its graduation ceremony Friday night at the school's West Campus.
The spring class consists of 39 recruits and included eight female graduates.
Police Academy Coordinator, Andy Lindeman says, "The 17-week program offered in the fall and spring each year provides students with more than 700 hours of training, far surpassing the state mandated 594 hours."
All 39 graduates have secured jobs, or are in the hiring process with law enforcement agencies across Michigan.
The keynote speaker at the ceremony was Ingham County Under-sheriff Andy Bouck.
This was a homecoming for the under-sheriff.
Bouck was a graduate of the Mid-Michigan Police Academy.
