Study says over 40% of parents would consider switching doctors over vaccine controversy

ANN ARBOR, MI (WILX) -- The vaccine debate continues to spark a lot of controversy.

In fact, over 40% of people said they would seriously consider switching doctors if that doctor's office saw families who refused vaccines for their kids, according to a national study done by the University of Michigan.

Nearly 30% said their pediatrician's office should tell parents, who refuse to vaccinate their kids, to find another doctor.

The study found that 17% would like to see unvaccinated children banned from the waiting room.

Scientists say parents, specifically those with babies and immuno-compromised children, should ask their doctor about their policy when it comes to this issue.
